For years, users placing the large "Note collection" feed widget on their Android homescreens were greeted with a dedicated sidebar on the right side. While functional, that right-hand sidebar frequently consumed valuable horizontal space, leaving noticeable empty gaps on the display—particularly for individuals utilizing a full-width homescreen layout that stretched across the entirety of their device’s display.

With the newly deployed update, Google has completely removed that persistent sidebar. In its place, the widget now adopts an edge-to-edge design philosophy that allows the user’s note feed to occupy the maximum available width.
