Lilith Games, the prominent publisher widely recognized for blockbuster mobile franchises such as AFK Arena and Rise of Kingdoms, has found yet another major commercial success on its hands. The company’s latest intellectual property, Clash of Critters, has officially generated an impressive $45.6 million in gross player spending across major mobile app stores within just four months of its widespread availability.

The title represents a fresh strategic direction for Lilith Games, successfully blending tower defense mechanics, idle progression loops, and creature collection elements into a single cohesive package. At the heart of the experience is a diverse roster of more than 100 unique creatures known as Tataris, spanning a wide variety of elemental types, distinct statistics, and multi-stage evolutions that keep players engaged over long-term play sessions.

According to data and analytics estimates provided by AppMagic, commercial performance reached a monumental new record during the game’s fourth month on the market, pulling in a staggering $19.1 million. This single-month figure accounts for a remarkable 42% of the game’s total lifetime revenue since its initial release. Furthermore, this performance nearly doubled the previous record set during month three, when the title brought in $10.5 million, signaling an accelerating growth curve rather than the typical post-launch tapering seen in many mobile titles.

Clash of Critters has also been rapidly climbing the competitive mobile charts. The title surged upward on the top-grossing charts, moving from the 87th position in August up to the 40th spot in September, with several days still remaining before the final monthly placements for the period are officially locked in.

A breakdown of the platform-specific data reveals that Apple’s App Store has outpaced Google Play significantly over the four-month window. App Store consumer spending reached approximately $27.1 million, compared to $18.4 million generated through Google Play.

Industry analysts note that these official marketplace figures do not tell the entire financial story, as they omit additional revenue streams generated outside standard storefronts. For instance, the game features a dedicated web shop where players can purchase premium currency bundles known as Ignis Gems. These bundles range dramatically in price, starting from £1.99 and stretching up to a premium tier of £999.99. To encourage direct-to-consumer transactions, Lilith Games offers exclusive discounts and includes bonus Ignis Gems for purchases made through the web shop, effectively incentivizing a portion of the player base to bypass traditional platform ecosystems.

Revenue rise and the ongoing rollout

Lilith Games finds a new hit as Clash of Critters makes $45.6m in four months

Clash of Critters originally launched globally on May 21st, 2026, targeting audiences predominantly across Western markets. While positioned as a global rollout, the initial release intentionally excluded major territories in Asia, leaving room for subsequent regional expansions as part of the publisher’s long-term scaling strategy.

Even with a phased international rollout, the United States quickly established itself as the game’s core stronghold. Over the first four months, players based in the US accounted for a full 33% of the game’s total lifetime spending.

Following its initial debut, the game experienced a brief plateau. After pulling in roughly $8 million during its first month on the global stage, player spending dipped slightly to $7.9 million in month two. However, the trajectory shifted dramatically in month three, sparked directly by the official expansion of Clash of Critters into the lucrative Japanese market, where the game launched on July 30th.

The entry into Japan proved to be a watershed moment for the franchise’s monetization strategy. On its very first day in the country, local player spending sat at less than $1,000. However, enthusiasm snowballed rapidly, pushing daily Japanese spending past the $100,000 threshold for the first time on August 5th. Momentum continued to build, culminating in a peak daily revenue day of $166,000 on September 10th. In less than two months of availability, Japan has firmly established itself as the second-biggest spending region for Clash of Critters, generating 14% of the game’s lifetime earnings.

Meanwhile, mainland China has also emerged as a powerful financial engine. China currently ranks third in lifetime revenue contributions at 8%, rapidly outpacing established Western mobile markets like Australia and Canada despite official revenue tracking in the region only beginning earlier in the month.

The introduction of the Chinese market served as a primary catalyst for the unprecedented revenue spike seen in month four. During this recent period, players in China contributed $3.6 million, accounting for roughly 19% of the game’s total global spending for that month.

While Clash of Critters has not yet crossed the milestone of $1 million in worldwide daily player spending, its fourth month brought the title closer than ever before. On September 12th, the game generated a single-day record of $901,000.

Lilith Games has previously shared operational insights regarding its systematic approach to developing enduring mobile hits, reflecting an internal culture focused on iteration, player retention, and calculated global scaling. With Clash of Critters continuing to break its own financial records month over month and major Asian territories fully integrated into its live-service ecosystem, the title stands as one of the publisher’s most dynamic modern launches.
