ISTANBUL — Turkish mobile games developer Flow Games has officially confirmed that it has raised a total of $49 million to date, following backing from a roster of prominent industry investors including Tencent, Makers Fund, Arcadia Gaming Partners, and Ludus Ventures.

The Istanbul-based studio disclosed the definitive cumulative funding figure in an official announcement. This follows an exclusive report by PocketGamer.biz earlier in the week, which revealed that the developer had successfully secured a $46 million funding package, with approximately three-quarters of that substantial sum originating from global gaming and technology giant Tencent.

With this newly clarified total, Flow Games has solidified its position as one of the rising stars within the vibrant and rapidly expanding Turkish mobile gaming ecosystem. The studio noted that the $49 million represents its total capital raised across multiple investment rounds since its inception, reflecting steady and strategic financial growth rather than a single influx of capital.

The heavy financial backing, led primarily by Tencent alongside participation from specialist funds such as Makers Fund, Arcadia Gaming Partners, and Ludus Ventures, underscores investor confidence in the studio’s operational strategy, creative capabilities, and long-term potential in the highly competitive global mobile games market.

Room to Grow

Alongside the financial disclosures, Flow Games also shared a significant milestone regarding the commercial performance of its flagship title. The developer’s physics-based mobile shooter, Smash Fest, has officially surpassed 23 million downloads worldwide since its global launch in May 2026.

The rapid accumulation of downloads highlights the international appeal of Smash Fest, which has managed to capture the attention of a diverse audience across multiple geographical regions. Physics-based shooters have traditionally carved out a dedicated niche within mobile gaming, requiring a delicate balance of accessible mechanics, satisfying physics engines, and engaging progression loops to retain players over the long term. Smash Fest appears to have struck this balance successfully, translating global marketing efforts and player acquisition into substantial download figures.

Armed with a strengthened financial foundation and the proven momentum of its primary title, Flow Games has outlined clear plans for the future. The studio stated that it intends to accelerate the continued growth and development of Smash Fest, ensuring that the game receives the live-ops support, updates, and content expansions necessary to maintain its player base and continue scaling globally.

Furthermore, the capital injection will enable Flow Games to expand its internal team in Istanbul, bringing in top-tier talent across engineering, design, marketing, and operational roles to support its scaling ambitions. Strengthening its global presence is also a primary objective, allowing the studio to better navigate international markets, forge stronger publishing and regional partnerships, and engage more effectively with its worldwide player communities.

Looking beyond the immediate horizon of Smash Fest, Flow Games has also articulated broader ambitions for its future portfolio. The studio plans to continue developing and releasing new mobile games tailored for international audiences, leveraging the expertise, technological infrastructure, and financial runway provided by its high-profile investors to fuel its long-term expansion as a multi-title developer on the global stage.
