Turkish mobile games developer Flow Games has officially confirmed that it has raised a total of $49 million to date, bolstered by major investments from industry heavyweights including Tencent, Makers Fund, Arcadia Gaming Partners, and Ludus Ventures.

The Istanbul-based gaming studio disclosed the cumulative figure in an official corporate announcement following an exclusive report published earlier this week detailing that the company had secured a substantial $46 million funding package. According to industry tracking and subsequent company disclosures, approximately three-quarters of that specific financial injection originated from global tech and gaming conglomerate Tencent. With the latest financial rounds fully accounted for, Flow Games has clarified that the aggregate $49 million reflects its total funding raised across multiple investment rounds since its inception.

The substantial financial backing underscores the growing international confidence in Turkey’s thriving mobile gaming ecosystem, particularly within the bustling development hub of Istanbul. Over the past decade, Istanbul has established itself as a prominent global center for mobile game development, attracting hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign direct investment and venture capital. Studios based in the region have frequently demonstrated an ability to scale titles globally, leveraging local talent and cost-effective operational structures to compete on the world stage. Flow Games now stands firmly among the prominent beneficiaries of this regional momentum, securing critical partnerships with tier-one global investors who possess extensive experience in scaling interactive entertainment companies.

Room to grow

Alongside the financial revelation, the studio shared significant operational milestones regarding its flagship title. Flow Games reported that its physics-based mobile shooter, Smash Fest, has successfully surpassed 23 million downloads worldwide since its global launch in May 2026. The rapid accumulation of players highlights the global appeal of the studio’s design philosophy, which blends accessible mechanics with engaging physics-driven gameplay loops tailored for mobile audiences.

Buoyed by the fresh capital injection and the strong performance of its debut hit, Flow Games outlined clear strategic priorities for the immediate and long-term future. The studio stated that it plans to actively accelerate the growth trajectory of Smash Fest, dedicating resources to user acquisition, live-ops updates, and community engagement. Furthermore, the newly secured funds will enable the Istanbul developer to expand its internal team significantly, bringing in specialized talent across engineering, design, marketing, and product management to support its scaling operations and strengthen its overarching global presence.

Beyond the ongoing development and expansion of Smash Fest, Flow Games also articulated broader corporate ambitions. The studio confirmed plans to continue developing a diverse pipeline of mobile games tailored for international audiences, signaling that it intends to evolve from a single-hit studio into a multi-title developer capable of maintaining sustained engagement across global markets. By combining strategic financial partnerships with proven development capabilities, Flow Games aims to cement its position as a key player in the competitive landscape of mobile interactive entertainment.
