Turkish mobile games developer Flow Games has officially confirmed that it has raised a cumulative total of $49 million to date, bolstered by strategic investments from industry heavyweights including Tencent, Makers Fund, Arcadia Gaming Partners, and Ludus Ventures.

The Istanbul-based studio disclosed the definitive figure in an official corporate announcement following an exclusive report that detailed a major $46 million funding package secured by the company, with approximately three-quarters of that substantial sum originating directly from global gaming and technology titan Tencent. Flow Games clarified that the broader $49 million figure represents its total capital accumulation raised across multiple investment rounds since the studio’s inception, underscoring a steady trajectory of financial backing from some of the most prominent venture capital and strategic gaming funds operating on the international stage.

The confirmation highlights Istanbul’s continuing rise as a thriving, globally competitive hub for mobile game development. Over recent years, Turkey has captured the attention of international investors through successful studio acquisitions, high-growth mobile titles, and robust development talent. Flow Games’ ability to attract capital from multi-national entities like Tencent and specialized gaming funds such as Makers Fund, Arcadia Gaming Partners, and Ludus Ventures places the studio firmly within a select group of regional developers scaling successfully to meet global market demands.

Room to grow

Alongside the financial revelation, the developer shared significant operational milestones regarding its flagship title. Flow Games reported that its physics-based mobile shooter, Smash Fest, has officially surpassed 23 million downloads worldwide since its global launch in May 2026. The rapid player acquisition underscores the global appeal of the studio’s design philosophy, proving that its core gameplay mechanics resonate strongly with international audiences across various regional markets.

Following the successful closing of its funding rounds, Flow Games outlined an ambitious roadmap for the future. The studio stated that the newly injected capital will be deployed to accelerate the ongoing growth of Smash Fest, allowing the development team to roll out content updates, refine live-ops strategies, and optimize user acquisition campaigns. Furthermore, the funding will enable the studio to expand its internal workforce by recruiting top-tier talent in engineering, design, and marketing, thereby strengthening its operational capacity and global presence from its headquarters in Istanbul.

Looking beyond the immediate success of its current live title, Flow Games also articulated broader corporate ambitions. The studio confirmed plans to leverage its expanded resources and operational capabilities to continue developing new mobile games tailored for international audiences. By diversifying its product pipeline and maintaining its focus on engaging, physics-based gameplay, Flow Games aims to solidify its standing as a long-term player in the competitive global mobile gaming landscape.
